We have many dreams concerning what Tapestry will be and it’s part within the Church universal. Some of our main dreams concerning the church are:

• Tapestry dreams of being a group where faith effects more than just Sundays.  

We believe that the Gospel impacts every area of a person’s life and culture. We reject unfounded categories that divide the world into uniquely sacred or purely secular. GOD is redeeming all of creation through JESUS. This means that JESUS wants us to live out HIS love in the way we treat our waitress, to how we talk with our neighbors, to how we take care of Creation, to how we relate to the weakest ones in our community. JESUS wants us to live out our faith in every part of our lives rather than just on Sundays. In other words, Tapestry is more about "being the church" rather than "going to church." The religious word for this is being holistic.

 

• Tapestry dreams of being a group that does meaningful things.

We believe that the church exists for the world and not for herself - she is to introduce and usher in the Kingdom of GOD into every part of this world. This means we want to do things that are actually meaningful and helpful rather than just doing things because of ritual or because they are expected of churches. The religious word for this is being missional.

 

• Tapestry dreams of being a group that loves greatly.

We believe that salvation brings people together as a reflection of WHO GOD is. JESUS called those who follow HIM to love GOD and to love others. Since love is a verb we need to live this out in everything we do. We believe that loving GOD draw people together as they follow HIM. The religious word for this is community.
